Pink Champagne

Pink Champagne (first named Kasern 9) was a Swedish feminist punk band in the 1980s.[1] It consisted of four women, Stina Berge (drums), Ann Carlberger (vocals), Karin Jansson (guitar ) and Gunilla Welin (bass).[2][3] Kajsa Grytt was briefly a member.[4] They released two full-length albums,[1] Vackra pojke! (Beautiful Boy!, 1981) and Kärlek eller ingenting (Love or Nothing, 1983),[3] before breaking up in 1984.[2]

Karin Jansson and Ann Carlberger went to Australia where Karin dated Steve Kilbey of The Church and co-wrote their hit song Under the Milky Way. Ann was with Marty Willson-Piper, the guitarist of the band.[3] Stina Berge started writing children book and released a solo album in 2008.[1][5] Kajsa Grytt became a leading member of Tant Strul.[4]

The albums were released under the MNW label.[6]
